RESPOND, Inc. is New England’s first domestic violence agency and the second oldest in the nation. For over 40 years RESPOND has provided life-saving shelter, support services, training and education to more than 100,000 members of the community. Services are free and confidential, and available to all survivors of domestic abuse.

Join RESPOND, Inc. at the RESPONDing to Domestic Violence Gala on October 23! A fun evening to support a serious cause. The event raises funds to allow RESPOND to help survivors of domestic violence and their children to achieve safe, dignified, independent lives free from emotional abuse and violence. Details here.

Join Groundwork Somerville on on October 27th at Flatbread Company, to celebrate 15 years of serving Somerville!

Groundwork Somerville creates jobs, food, green space, and leadership opportunities for environmental justice communities and individuals, through programs that address healthy education, green jobs and sustainable communities. They manage school garden classrooms, provide jobs and leadership training to low-income and underserved youth in our community; and steward 31 farm and garden sites throughout the region.

Clothing Drive for Second Chances at Bow Street Yoga – 10% off yoga when you donate clothing from October 10th to 18th.  Make some space in your closet – help people in our community get back on their feet by donating your unneeded clothes at Bow Street Yoga AND get a discount on yoga for yourself.
For more than a decade, Second Chances has provided free clothing, shoes, accessories, and gift cards to more than 2,800 lower income and homeless people in and around Somerville.
