Seeking a Volunteer Gallery Coordinator

We are seeking a volunteer Gallery Coordinator to assist in coordinating with artists, and in mounting and promoting exhibitions in our Cafe space. Although we aren’t able to host exhibition opening events at this time, we are looking to continue to host and promote galley shows in our Cafe space. Our current show of Pauline Lim’s work will be wrapping soon, and we’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable about visual arts to assist us in planning our next show, and all shows to come.

The Gallery Coordinator will assist us in doing outreach within the artist community to build a schedule of gallery shows for our space. This individual will coordinate with artists on hanging and displaying their work in our space, build a calendar of exhibitions for the year, and assist in promoting these shows. The Gallery Coordinator will work with the Executive Director and Operations Manager to ensure that shows fit the goals of The Center for the Arts at the Armory, and maintain high standards while being community-oriented and representative of our diverse artist community.

We are looking to work with your schedule to make the position fit, and the hours are not set. You may be heavily involved while handling the transition between shows, and then have very little or no hours of work while the show is up and running. You will have the opportunity to bring your tastes and knowledge to the table in helping build the schedule, and will be given the opportunity to be creative in the displaying of work.

To apply, email us at operations@artsatthearmory.org with your qualifications and a bit about yourself. Click here for more information about exhibitions at the Cafe.
