Pre-order Market Only April 4th and 11th

In response to COVID-19, the Somerville Winter Farmers Market will be a *pre-order only* market held in the Armory parking lot from 9am-12pm on Saturday, April 4th and 11th.

You can order from several of our vendors this week, and then pick up your goods on Saturday. This is a great way to support our vendors, especially smaller vendors who do not have the capacity to set up their own delivery systems at this time.

Please consider purchasing some of their delicious products. To preorder or for more information, click HERE.

SNAP/EBT are accepted!

Arts at the Armory Emergency Relief Fund

Thank you for considering a contribution to the ARTS AT THE ARMORY EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND. Like many non-profit and arts organizations, small businesses and individuals, the Center for Arts at the Armory will bear a significant financial impact due to COVID19 and does not have a contingency budget for emergencies like this one. We rely almost exclusively on revenue generated from hosting events and running our Cafe. In response to COVID19, we have had to cancel events indefinitely, close our Cafe, and layoff staff. We have a streamlined core of administrative staff working to lay the groundwork for Arts at the Armory’s future, which will only be possible with your support. Thank you in advance for your generosity, and we send our gratitude and wishes for well-being to our entire community at this time.

Cancellations and Closures at Arts at the Armory in Response to COVID19

Dear Friends of Arts at the Armory,

As part of an evolving response to the COVID19 pandemic, we have made the decision to cancel all public events scheduled in all Arts at the Armory spaces (the main hall, mezzanine, Café and the B5 classroom) and close the Armory Café starting Saturday, March 14th through Sunday, March 29th. We will make decisions about potential cancellations and closures post-March 29th in the coming days and share that information with you.

Although we do the booking for the B3 Dance Studio, it is not an Arts at the Armory space, and is owned by our landlord, HART. All classes and programming held in the B3 Dance Studio are cancelled through Sunday, March 29th.

During this period, core Arts at the Armory staff will be working remotely and making occasional visits to the office. Other businesses in the Armory building may remain open. Please click here to visit our website, which provides information about how to connect with other Armory tenants individually.

It is clear that the COVID19 pandemic will have significant financial repercussions for everyone. Individuals, small businesses and non-profit arts organizations like Arts at the Armory that do not have contingency budgets will be in the most precarious position. We will be working to find resources and means of support to keep Arts at the Armory afloat during this difficult period. Please keep us in mind, along with other non-profit organizations, small businesses and artists, and do what you can to support us. We will be developing other concrete ways to contribute in the days ahead but for starters please consider buying fresh, local produce from our Somerville Winter Farmers Market vendors here

Like you, in the upcoming weeks we will certainly miss the many communal, uplifting and transformative experiences that we all have come to know and love at the Armory. To get us through the journey, let’s seek refuge, solace, peace, inspiration and beauty in music, poetry, dance, visual arts, film–or whichever mediums most stir and soothe your soul.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Scherpf
