Molly Walsh is an illustrator and surface designer living in Boston with her husband and feisty rescue dog Kiki. Her art is influenced by personal stories, magic in everyday moments, and the great outdoors.

Molly Walsh Pictures of Dreamland Exhibition

Artist statement
“The premise for Pictures of Dreamland was simple- to write down my dreams first thing when I woke up and draw them. I began executing the project on an art retreat in Santa Fe, where the desert provided a vivid and otherworldly backdrop for the stories in my Notes App. My dreams feel like gifts from my brain- funny, bizarre, and insightful, often all at once. To me, this project provided a low-stakes framework to create a body of work. By illustrating stories where I am the sole author and witness, I didn’t need to make them perfect- I just needed to make them exist. Through showing rather than telling, I aim to challenge the idea that sharing our dreams is boring and invite you into the magic of mine.”
