In this informal showcase, regular attendees of our adavu meetups will celebrate their love for dance and progress in their dance journeys.

What gives you joy? We all have different goals for our dance journeys, but for all of us attending adavu meetups, dance gives us joy. For our showcase, dancers are presenting pieces that strongly resonate with them. For some, the dances they are sharing today got them to reconnect with dancing or even to begin their dance journeys. For others, the pieces they are sharing embody what motivates them to keep dance as a part of their lives.

Time: 7:00 – 9:30 pm

Boston adavu is a meetup group that meets weekly to practice the basics of Bharatanatyam (A type of South Indian Classical Dance). This group is open to anyone of any level, provided they have learned the basic steps (adavus) that are the building blocks of this dance form.
