On Tuesday, April 16th, New York Times-bestselling author Abraham Josephine “Josie” Riesman will be celebrating the paperback release of her latest book, RINGMASTER: VINCE MCMAHON AND THE UNMAKING OF AMERICA, with a LIVE WRESTLING EVENT.

If you’ve never seen a wrestling show before, this will be a PERFECT introduction. In addition to a book signing and readings by the author, we will have some full-blown wrasslin’ matches from local and traveling indie wrestling talent.

Josie has put together a lineup that will show you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the contemporary indie scene contains a depth of talent, diversity, and authenticity that is thriving against our current backdrop of late stage capitalism. The future of wrestling is in the hands of its current historians, critics, workers, and audience.

We invite you, dear audience member, to come celebrate the infinite possibilities of wrestling and storytelling with us. In doing so, you’ll be supporting a trans wrestling historian, as well as a diverse roster of indie wrestling heroes (and heels).

We will be seeing athletic feats from the likes of:

Doors are at 7pm, with the program starting at 8pm sharp.

No one turned away for lack of funds – just talk to the door person, day of show, for a pay-what-you-can ticket. This event is one night only, and will surely be a paperback release party like no other.
