The First Latinx Arts and Crafts Sale in Somerville
There will be three artists:
- Trash to Treasure (Conzuelo Perez)
- ItemsByles (Leslie Apanecatl)
- Razalas Art (Nelson Salazar)
Consuelo Perez is Peruvian. Her art entails creating objects with recycled materials. When people first look at her work, they do not realize how they are made. However, once they see that they are made from ordinary household items that are not appreciated, they realize that they can give a second life to those items.
Leslie Apanecatl – A Latinx-Indigenous creator, focusing on jewelry. Creating handmade earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
Nelson Salazar – Originally from El Salvador, his visual art medium is stained glass.
Join us at the ROOTED Armory Cafe & Farmstand. There will be delicious food and wonderful drinks available to purchase.
