In 2023, due to participating in the popular Chinese music variety show “The BIG Band 3” and successfully reaching the finals, Mayuan Poet became well-known and loved by Chinese audiences. The clever fusion of British indie rock with diverse styles such as Grunge and DanceRock, combined with local genes from the Southwest region, is introverted and delicate yet angry and passionate, with emotional inclusiveness and external tearing. It is like an interweaving of aesthetic images, diverse yet simple, romantic and restless. Countless musical elements are vividly displayed in the works and scenes of Mayuan poet. The band quietly collides in their own aesthetic world, being an independent band with its own music system and a perfectionist who is passionate about meticulously sculpting works. The unique “funeral style” has become a spiritual and emotional support for many music fans. Up to now, the team has released over 50 songs, participated in thousands of various special events and music festivals, and gained an active fan base covering different age groups and identity attributes.
