Since September 2022, Midday Movement Series has hosted our pilot BIPOC Professional Dancer Mentorship Program, a program supporting early-career dance artists of color through resources including personal stipends, class-taking stipends to train in the community, individualized mentorship, and peer-to-peer support and fellowship.

It has been a joy working with the four inaugural Mentees –Cassie Wang, Imani Deal, Miranda Lawson, and Pearl Young– to navigate and root their professional dance careers. Our program is now coming to a close, and we want to celebrate with you! Join us to meet the Mentees and celebrate their journeys as well as connect with other local dance artists and supporters.

This event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is recommended. Register at bit.ly/BipocMenteeEvents.

This program is supported in part by grants from the following: The Somerville Arts Council; Cambridge Arts, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, and; The Boston Cultural Council, administered by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture

The mission of Arts at the Armory is to provide an inclusive and accessible venue for arts, cultural and community events, exhibitions, markets, classes and more.
