Join ASPIRE & the AAWIL Conference Team for an Open Mic Night by Asian American Womxn Leaders on Shaping the World!
Asian Sisters Participating in Reaching Excellence (ASPIRE) aims to curate a community of welcoming Asian American womxn and allies.
Our Asian American Women in Leadership (AAWIL) Conference team presents a Spoken Word (and other performances) Open Mic Night on Wednesday, August 9th from 6PM to 8PM, hosted at the Rooted Armory Cafe at the Center for the Arts at the Armory in Somerville, MA.
Doors open at 5:30PM – come on in and purchase the delicious food and drink at the Rooted Cafe
The Show Time will run from 6PM to 8PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to sign up to speak for 3 to 5 minutes per person on what it means to them for Asian American Womxn Leaders Shaping the World.
The event is offered for Free thanks to the Center for the Arts at the Armory, although Donations are always welcome and appreciated to ASPIRE and it is suggested to eat and drink at the Cafe to cover the cost of hosting the event.

The Asian American Womxn in Leadership (AAWIL) Conference will be upcoming in November 2023 and this event is to generate interest and awareness around conferences speakers and volunteers.
This is an opportunity for attendees to connect with your fellow Asian American womxn in a space that values and seeks to center your identity. Stop by to get a taste of the interactive content and inspiring community that you can expect from the 2023 AAWIL Conference!
First held in 2004 by ASPIRE, the Asian American Womxn in Leadership (AAWIL) Conference is an interactive event aimed at growing and developing personal and professional leadership. The conference provides a forum for a cross-generational community of Asian American girls and womxn to share experiences and learn from one another. This year’s conference will be held in November 2023.
