An Evening of Indian Classical Music

Join us for an evening of North Indian classical music expressed through a joyous collaboration between the sitar and the tabla.
Mike Jarjoura has studied and performed classical Hindustani music on sitar since 2003. His teachers include Dr. Peter Row, sitar player Ms. Mita Nag, khayal vocalist Warren Senders, and sarod player Anirban Dasgupta.
Having grown up in the Gurbani Kirtan tradition of Sikh music, Barinder Singh Banwait has been studying the classical rhythmic structures of Hindustani music since 2014. Primarily studying in the traditions of Punjab, Benares and Farrukhabad, teachers include Surdarshan Chana, Gurdain Rayatt, and Pandit Parimal Chakrabarty.
