AFTer Hours Adult Folktale telling returns for our fall feature!

Bring your folktales, legends, and myths to share at the open mic, and then sit back and enjoy Sarah Jane Nelson’s crankie and other stories.

What’s a crankie, you ask? It’s an old way of interpreting a story, where the scenes are drawn onto a long scroll of paper, and rolled (with a hand crank) from one spool to another as the story is sung. Stories and music have overlapped in many ways throughout human history, and Sarah Jane will also explore this theme by telling us some stories that feature the fiddler.
