iContact – the Tactile Tech Opera

iContact is an immersive interactive performance piece exploring our relationships with bodies, technologies and ecologies.

The dystopian future arrives and our pet robots, aka phones, have grown larger than (real) life. iPhone A Million And Eleven dangles heavy from the arm, and people have not likely looked at each other for well over a decade. Until some”thing” unexpected arrives on the planet to dissolve the numbness bar and remind human Beings of (their) Nature.

This is not your typical performance art piece— it’s an immersive event where movement and soundscape come together for a unique experience of collaborative creation and transformation.

Your role as audience member is quickly shifted to performer throughout the piece.

We ask that as a participant you come wearing all black, and in clothing you can move freely in.

This is a shoeless event and we suggest socks! All shoes will be left at the threshold.

You do not need any dance or singing experience to participate.

There will be a Pet Robot Lounge with tiny couches and chairs for your phones to rest or socialize amongst themselves during the show.
