Burhan Azeem has spent his time in office focused on practical solutions that make living here more attainable. His leadership helped bring universal pre-K to Cambridge, unlock new housing through bold zoning reform, and advance one of the country’s strongest climate building standards.

This gathering is a chance to reflect on progress so far and to talk honestly about the work still ahead. Burhan looks forward to seeing you and hearing what you have to say.

The Strummerville Ukulele Club is a fun-loving, ukulele-strumming, singing and humming group of amateur musicians who love the ukulele almost as much as we love a good trainwreck. Grab your uke and join us as we sing and strum the hits!

Strummerville meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Cafe. All levels welcome, from beginners to seasoned hands.

Somerville Poetry Workshop

Weekly Feedback ♦ Visiting Poets ♦ Inspiring Readings

Somerville is a great town for poets and writers, of all levels. This discussion-based workshop aims to provide a forum for poets who have never stopped writing to new poets or poets who need to get back into writing and hearing new ideas.

Each session will begin with two city poets or winter poems, and classes will end with twenty-minute readings by visiting poets. Topics will include form, line, structure, generative writing, and notebooks.

Flexible pricing. Taught by local MFA faculty.
