Somerville Poetry Workshop

Somerville is a great town for poets and writers, of all levels. This discussion-based workshop aims to provide a forum for poets who have never stopped writing to new poets or poets who need to get back into writing and hearing new ideas.

Each session will begin with two city poets or summer poems, and classes will end with twenty minute readings by visiting poets. Topics will include form, line, structure, generative writing, and notebooks. Flexible pricing. Taught by local MFA faculty.

Boogie over to Arts at the Armory Oct 30th for the 4th annual Rocky Horror Picture Show with the Teseracte Players for a special 50th anniversary screening!

Jump into the 1975 musical comedy horror cult classic in-person and live this Halloween! Costumes and call backs are highly encouraged; the Teseracte Players will lead the charge and make sure you don’t miss a moment of the raucous ride.

Doors open at 7:00PM; the viewing starts at 8:00PM. Come early and enjoy wine, beer, and snacks from the Performance Hall bar.

The Teseracte Players of Boston have roamed New England, bringing Dr. Frank-N-Furter and friends to life for 20+ years.

The sh*t bags can be purchased for an additional fee with your tickets at checkout. They will contain all the props you need (like confetti and noisemakers) to dive into Janet and Brad’s wild sojourn at the castle.

Recommended for Ages 17+

All ticket sales are final.

Arts at the Armory serves delicious locally sourced food and drink in our Café and at the Performance Hall bar when doors open (usually one hour before the show).
