5/15/23 UPDATE: I-Opener is canceled this month.

I-Opener is a monthly community ecstatic dance. Our intention is to gather local community, to become more connected to our body and to each other. We start with a short yoga session before diving into a wave of ecstatic dance. The music will guide us from slow mellow tempo, to juicy world bass beats, high vibration peak, and playful, heart-opening melodies. The uplifted dancing space is considered to be sacred. We abstain from social talk, and we dance without shoes.

The event is drugs and alcohol free. Participate in the dance or just enjoy witnessing. Children are welcome.

Queer Theatre Project’s Shakes-Queer Production: Much Ado About Nothing

Triumphant from competition, young “Don” Peter and his friends Claud and Benedick return to Camp Messina, a summer theater camp for talented youngsters, with one thing on their mind. Miscommunications, hormones, hookups, and teenage treachery ensue!

Saturday 5/20: Doors 7:30pm/ Show 8pm

Sunday 5/21: Doors 4pm / Show 4:30pm

Approximately 90 minutes duration.

The Queer Theatre Project is an all-volunteer recreational theatre company that makes art by and for the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. All of us put in months and months of work into this show, so our people can have some stellar queer community theatre!

Masks encouraged but not required.
