POP Series Presents Art Assembled AiR Performances 6.2.22 & 6.8.22

Artists who have been part of Somerville Arts Council’s AiR Program have been hard at work in the studios to bring you in-progress showings, performances, and experiences from May into the summer. You can join these artists in venues such as the Center for the Arts at the Armory, at ArtAssembled at Assembly Row, the Crystal Ballroom, and along the Mystic River all in Somerville! The following performances will be taking place inside the Arts at the Armory Performance Hall:

A Night In Bloom Gala 2022 – Tickets Now on Sale for May 20th!

VIP, General Admission and Virtual Tickets are now on sale for “A Night in Bloom,” Arts at the Armory’s 2022 Gala. Arts at the Armory’s 2022 Gala on May 20th. The in-person event will take place inside of the Armory Performance Hall located at 191 Highland Ave. in Somerville, MA. The in-person VIP Hour begins at 6pm and general admission begins at 7pm. The virtual event begins at 7:30pm.  Click here to purchase tickets.

A Night in Bloom will showcase Arts at the Armory as a vital home for the arts in Somerville through compelling performances, recognition of cultural honorees, and delightful food by Nada Cart and beverages by Aeronaut.

Our event headliner is Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR), a composer, violinist and educator known for taking his signature violin music, infused with electronic, urban, and African-American influences, beyond the proscenium.

Flamenco artist Laura Sanchez will be performing for the VIP Hour, and guests from Esh Circus Arts and Books of Hope will be participating in the main event.  We are also thrilled to announce this year’s special honorees:

Jess White Promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Arts at the Armory

The Board of Directors at the Center for Arts at the Armory is pleased to announce that effective April 1, 2022, Jess White has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ms. White joined Arts at the Armory in August 2021 as Operations Manager, and quickly demonstrated her capacity to join CEO and now Co-Director Stephanie Scherpf, and the Board of Directors in the leadership of the non-profit organization, which serves as a vital hub for arts, culture and community for Somerville and Greater Boston. Click here for the complete press release.
