Weather updates Feb 12-13 2019

And it’s winter in New England again! A few event updates given the weather forecast for later today…

Last update: 2/12, 4:20pm

For Tuesday February 12, Zumba with Ingrid, Zumba with Valeria, Nelson’s Class, and Strummerville are all cancelled. Parkour *is* happening tonight.

For Wednesday February 13, Shakespeare & Co auditions are being postponed to Monday Feb 18. We expect all other Wednesday events to run as planned, but any updates will be posted here.

Leadership Transition / Future Changes

Not sure how to lead this announcement, so jumping right in…

We’re announcing today that our Executive Director, Lea Ruscio, will be leaving the organization at the end of November 2019.  Lea has held down the leadership role here for the past 6 years, and we will be sorry to see her go!

But never fear, we’re working within the organization and together with our Advisory Committee on the transition plan and recruitment process to find a new Executive Director.  Details will be posted here and on social media as the process unfolds.

We look forward to continuing well into the future as your go-to spot for local arts, cultural, and community activities!

Want to be our upstairs neighbor?

There are two suites opening up for long-term rental at the Armory!  Actors Shakespeare Project is moving out, as they relocate to their new home in a theater.  So their office space and rehearsal space will soon be available.  These are flexible-use spaces: offices, retail, work studios, classrooms – just not set up to live in.

Suite 2A / “Not2B” is a little under 1500 sq ft, and has three rooms and a bathroom.  It will be available Feb 1, and the owners are asking for $3000 per month in rent.
Suite 2B is a little over 1500 sq ft, and has four rooms and a bathroom.  It will be available Mar 1 (maybe earlier), and the owners are asking for $3200 per month in rent.
