Come be a part of history and laugh ‘til the night grows old as Boston hosts the World’s Second Vintage Improv Festival. A highly select group of Vintage Improvisers from all over the country, Europe and Canada will descend upon Somerville. This incredibly talented collection of senior citizen comedians arrive ready to perform high caliber improvised comedy in all sorts of forms! From the well known short form style of Whose Line is It Anyway to a fully improvised musical they will take your suggestions and create something that has never been seen before. There will be an improvised Shakespeare experience, a musical improvisation performed totally in the dark, some incredibly physical improv, and an emotionally moving non-comedic improv experience. And there is so much more. First shows each afternoon are G rated so families are welcome! Held at the amazing and historic Arts at the Armory venue in Somerville which boasts plenty of free parking, food and drink is available during the Festival. Saturday shows are in the large performance hall. Sunday the shows take place in the intimate Café.
