Open Armory

Date(s) - Wed. Oct. 06, 2021
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Open Armory is your chance to tap into beauty. Bring your talent, be it music, comedy, storytelling, or hula hooping. All are welcome at the Armory Cafe on the first Wednesday of the month. Join Phil Jones for a night of good times, good drinks, and dream chasing. And if nothing else, as Confucius said — everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.

Free. First Wednesday of every month. Performers are invited to sign up and share their best short work (5 minutes or shorter including setup).

7:00 PM – Sign up (in person only) / social time.
7:30 PM – Open Mic
10:00 PM – Curfew / everyone out!

Logistical Details: Performers will sign up from 7:00 – 7:30 PM. The list order will be randomized and posted at 7:30 PM. Each performer will take the stage and a 5-minute timer will be set. Performers will be cut off if they exceed the 5-minute time limit (including setup) to ensure that more people can get up.

Please Note: As of August 28, 2021, the Center for Arts at the Armory will require all staff and event guests to show proof of vaccination status. Children under the age of 12 will not have to show proof of vaccination for admittance to events but are required to wear a mask. Guests who wear masks and present a negative COVID test 24 to 72 hours prior to the event will also be admitted. Guests are encouraged to show proof of vaccination from their cell phones. In addition, once inside the Armory building, the Center for Arts at the Armory requires all staff, volunteers, interns, vendors, shoppers and guests to wear a mask regardless of whether they have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The mission of Arts at the Armory is to provide an inclusive and accessible venue for arts, cultural and community events, exhibitions, markets, classes and more.
