Abstract:One of the most challenging steps forward for a security team is moving beyond signature-based detection and into statistical outlier analysis, and hypothesis driven threat hunting. This talk discusses actionable opportunities to take the next step towards a proactive security posture with the tooling and data you likely have already.
Speaker Bio: Melissa is a DC-based security research specialist seeking to improve hunt and detection efforts through better adversary emulation and purple team frameworks.

Talk Title: Offsec Peeps Should Learn Forensics Too by Leron Gray
Abstract: This talk emphasizes the benefits of learning forensics for red teamers and penetration testers. Forensics skills, particularly memory analysis, can be useful for furthering operations and this talk will demonstrate some offensive applications of tools used for forensics.
Speaker Bio: Leron is part of Azure Red Team at Microsoft. PhD Cyber Operations candidate at Dakota State University. Nerdcore rapper.
