The Center for Arts at the Armory is proud to present and host a series of festive and culturally-thematic events for Halloweek 2022. Headlining the week is a concert by Wesli on Oct. 27, the first event in Arts at the Armory’s newly announced Spotlight Series.
In addition to the above, Arts at the Armory is co-presenting with ONCE a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a Live Cast (the Teseracte Players) on Halloween night with doors at 7pm.
Receptions for two thematic visual arts exhibitions in the Armory ROOTED Café will also be taking place during Halloweek. Eliezer Velez’s exhibition features paintings of horror movies and cult classics, and Colette Bresilla, from Haiti, paints the female figure–from Haitian market women with pipes to Japanese geishas. Closing out Halloweek on November 5th will be the annual Banboche event (this year with a Fèt Gede theme) produced by the Cambridge-based Haitian contemporary dance company Jean Appolon Expressions.
