Please join us THIS FRIDAY (August 28th) for our second in a series of benefit concerts to help us raise the funds to soundproof our Performance Hall. This show features the fabulous Ian Ethan Case on the 18-string double neck accoustic guitar (get lost in some videos here) and the funky Opposite People and their afrobeat-bollywood-dare-you-not-to-get-up-and-dance style. Come celebrate these Boston-area musicians as we work towards our $50,000 fundraising goal.
Doors at 7:30.
Tickets will be $12 advance / $10 for students/seniors; or $15/$12 at the door. Get your advance tickets here.
Lots of fun stuff on the horizon, folks! This Friday, we have the Feminist Fiber Arts Exhibit, celebrating female artists and the art community at large; next Friday, we’re Celebrating Woodstock with a pretty rockin’ concert; and the Friday after that, we’re hosting our own fundraising Soundproofing Benefit Concert. See, that’s your next three Fridays, full of fun plans. You’re welcome, Somerville 😉
We are excited to be gearing up for our second benefit concert to help us raise the $50,000 we need to soundproof the Performance Hall. Your next opportunity to attend a great musical event AND support this worthy cause is Friday, August 28th. Tickets are now available!
It may be hot outside but everything’s cool in here, friends! There’s always something fun in the works. Be sure to like us on Facebook (cafe, too!!) to stay in the day-to-day to loop — and once a month, we send our newsletter which hits the highlights. We want to make it easy for you to know what’s coming up next…
This 4th of the July, we are proud to be hosting Healing Hands‘ day-long intensive for trauma survivors, featuring many opportunities and avenues to learn about personal healing. It will truly be a magical day.
Then by night, the Hall will turn into a dance party when the “Indoor Fireworks” Light Show kicks into gear. Admission is $10 (unless you’re attending the day-long event, in which case the price of admission is included).
Have a safe and happy 4th, everyone! Hope to see you at The Armory.
