Inspiration Celebration

Wednesday, May 4th, 6pm-9pm in the Hall

The Armory is pleased to be hosting this annual event for the Boys and Girls Club of Middlesex County.  Live music, food, drinks, a silent auction, and a raffle await you.  For more info and to purchase your ticket whose proceeds benefit this essential organization, click here.

 

Mommybites Ultimate Mom’s Night Out

Thursday, May 5th, 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Hall

Moms, we’re talking to you — this is your week!  While Sunday, May 8th may be the day you spend with your family, let this be the night you spend out. Meet, mingle, and unwind with other moms and moms-to-be, learn about local products and services, and, of course, eat, drink, and be merry.  Entertainment will be provided by Boston Comedy Chicks and the special guest speaker will be mommy blogger Kristin Quinn.  25% of the ticket fee will benefit Horizons for Homeless Children — purchase yours here.

 

Cupcake Reception — Kids’ Art Show

Saturday, May 7th, 12pm-2pm in the Cafe

Join us for a reception honoring the junior artists in our midst.  Their art has adorned the walls in the cafe for the last few weeks as part of Somerville Open Studios.  Please come check out their work and enjoy a cupcake or two while you’re at it!

 

The Haha Mama Mother’s Day Comedy Show

Sunday, May 8th, 3pm-4:30pm and 7pm-8:30pm in the Hall

Brunch is cliche, spas are expensive, and laughter saves the day every time.  Check out this hilarious lineup of mom-comics, hosted by Robin Maxfield featuring headliner Jane Condon along with appearances by Erika Welch, Ashley Gavin, Andrea Henry, Srilatha Rajamani, and L. RISK! Live Show & Podcast

Sunday, May 15th, 7:30pm-9:30pm in the Hall

RISK! is a podcast where personal stories become public.  Host Kevin Allison of the comedy troupe The State coaxes the intimate, heartwarming, shocking, and, of course, hilarious life-moments out of his guests (who have included the likes of Kevin Nealon, Rachel Dratch, Marc Maron, and more) only to be downloaded and enjoyed by his million-plus listeners. Subject:Matter Presents Some Pulp

Wednesday, May 25th, 7pm and Thursday, May 26th, 8pm in the Hall

Some Pulp is a swing dance/tap dance collaboration between Big Band composer Steve Bass and dancer/choreographer Ian Berg.  Get excited for these back to back evenings of all-new music and dance that pays homage to its genre forefathers.  Reserve your spot here.

 

Fódhla (“Foe-la”)
