Summer Programs

Summer Programs 2017

We have three great programs taking place this summer, for different youth age groups.

Arts-Discovery-Week

August 7-11,  & August 21-25 for 5 to 10 year olds.

Come explore many art forms in 10 different half-day sessions per week! Sign up for the full program or just for specific individual sessions.

Cost: $200/week, $100 for half-days, $50 per day or $25 for asingle  half-day session (Materials included). (Sliding scale available upon request).

Sliding Scale: We would like to make these programs accessible for anyone, no matter what their circumstances are, to be part of the summer programs, if you decide to register your child/children in one or different programs. Families who are eligible for free school lunch programs are also eligible for a sliding scale rate. If you can pay the full price, please do! This will go to pay staff. Please email  education@artsatthearmory.org for more information.

Program Schedule:
Drop off 9:00 to 9:30am
Morning session 9:30am to 12:00pm
Lunch 12:00pm to 1:00pm  (Bring your own lunch or buy lunch from the cafe with a 25% discount on all items)
Afternoon session 1:00pm to 3:30 pm
Pick up 3:30pm to 4:00 pm

 

To register, you can either fill in the Arts Discovery Week Registration Form or pick one up in person from the office.

You can either write a check and address it to the Center for Arts at the Armory, or place cash (in an envelope both ways), and give the envelope to the person in the cafe. You can address the envelope to Joy Jeha Education Programs Assistant and mention registration for the summer programs.

Visual-Arts-Week

August 7-11,  & August 21-25 for 11 to 16 year olds.

Come  explore different aspects of visual arts in 10 half-day sessions per week.  Try drawing, painting, illustration, and more. Sign up for the full program or just for specific individual sessions. Cost: $250/week , $125 for half-days, $60 for a full day or $30 for a single half-day session (Materials included). (Sliding scale available upon request).

Youth Arts Arise

August 14-18 & Aug 28-31, for 11 to 16-year-olds.

Dive deep into just a few artistic disciplines; morning classes and afternoon classes each build up a different thematic area.These classes build progressively over the course of the week, so enrollment in the full week (for either one class or both) is required. This program is FREE!
