What is Armory ART?
Armory ART is a program that allows adults to explore their creative side while working on their artistic skills in a wide range of mediums and disciplines; older kids who are interested can also attend the classes. Participants can pick and choose and sign up for whichever courses interest them.
Purple Flower Painting and Drawing Classes
The Purple Flower Art Studio is an introductory series of pop-up fine arts workshops that encourage self-exploration, appreciation, self-discovery, relaxation, happiness, and fun! The workshops are designed for people who want to improve their artistic skills in an intimate atmosphere. Everyone is welcome–from beginners to advanced artists. Art materials will be provided, and artists are inspired to create freely as they explore shape, color, line, texture, space, and movement. Artists will leave each workshop with an original composition.
This workshop will be held in the Armory’s B5 Classroom, and enrollment for all four classes is $115.
This program is run by Annette R. McCarty, a Fine Artist and Art Educator.
Voice Lessons with Quinn Gutman!
Quinn Gutman is a soprano and composer with a bachelor’s degree in composition from Oberlin Conservatory. Quinn’s also pursuing their masters degree in voice and composition at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge. Quinn helps their students explore their own unique sound and develop that sound with breathing techniques, acting techniques, stage presence, and ear training. Quinn’s been trained in contemporary classical, musical theater, cabaret, opera, baroque, and common-practice repertoire, and their techniques can be applied to any style of music you’re interested in. In addition to voice lessons, Quinn also privately tutors students in composition and music theory.
Quinn’s classes are held in the Armory’s B5 Classroom and start at $50 per hour. For more information, or to schedule a lesson, contact Quinn directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
