UPDATE: After-School Acting will be returning in October! The program will now be held on Tuesdays in the Armory’s Performance Hall, from 4 to 5:30PM. It will begin on October 2nd and end in a final performance on December 4th (excluding November 20th).
Additionally, we have made some changes to enrollment. Going forward, participants will be divided into two groups by age: one for children 7 to 10 and another for children 11 to 14. Each group will have their own dedicated instructor with their own focus.

What is After-School Acting?
After-School Acting is our FREE program that introduces children to the theatrical arts.
Under the instruction of a seasoned performer and theater scholar, participants will be exposed to culture, explore their creativity, gain confidence and learn how to collaborate with peers. Through vocal exercises, memory games, character exploration and more, participants will not only gain a deeper understanding of performance and theater, but also gain the skills needed for everyday life. The program will end with a showcase, giving the participants an opportunity to perform what they’ve learned.
Costumes for this program were made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Garment District.
