Youth Arts Arise Winter 2018 – Still Life Drawings Using Charcoal

Class Description: Students learn about Chiaroscuro by studying light and dark values in their development of a Still Life drawing. They’ll use charcoal sketching as their medium to explore the interplay of light and shadow.

About the Instructor: Anny Marion is a recent graduate of the American International College with a degree in Education and a concentration in Moderate Disabilities. Prior to that, she was an Elementary Art Teacher at Lawrence Public Schools, and worked as an After School and Summer Programs Educator in nearby districts. In 2009, she graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Throughout childhood, she was immersed in Fine Arts, exploring a variety of art media in programs held at the MFA, and at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Natick.

What is Youth Arts Arise?

Youth Arts Arise is a is an arts education project for students ages 11 to 16. This FREE program is a great after school opportunity to explore  creativity in a wide range of artistic mediums. To register, you can either fill in the All LanguagesYAA Form, Winter 2018 and sent it, or pick one up in person from the office.
