Representative Denise Provost (27th Middlesex) and the University of the Middle East Project invite you to a fundraiser to support the Oleander Initiative, a one-of-a-kind peace program that gathers together Middle Eastern and US teachers in Hiroshima, Japan. Oleander educators impact thousands of students in the Middle East and the US through Hiroshima – inspired peace education lessons every year.
The Oleander Initiative is run by the University of the Middle East Project, a 501 c 3 nonprofit, non-governmental organization (www.ume.org). The University of the Middle East Project has been endorsed by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Former Secretary of State John Kerry, the Mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
