About the Skillshare: Over the course of this Skillshare, the goal is to foster an understanding of current social issues through contemporary poetry. Participants will learn to construct their own social justice poetry based on issues that are important to them, in order to spark empathy and understanding of large themes such as power and freedom, as well as structural violence.
About the Facilitator: Meghan Richter is a senior Creative Writing major and multi-media artist at Lesley University, with a focus in poetry, short fiction and performance. They have written and published non-fiction works for an online art zine, and studied psychology of creative expression.
