If you daughter or son loves to act, loves to sing, or in general is a performing goof ball, this three week summer program may be for them.
Working from the success of the past two summers, we are offering again our three week, full day, summer program focused on musical theater. The program will be held in the wonderful Arts at the Armory and take place from July 10-29, 2017, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Drop off begins at 8:30; pick up no later than 5:00 p.m.
This program will have four staff and a maximum of 40 youth aged 8 to 13.
Lead staff is:
Rachel Leigh Roccoberton has continuously worked in non-profit arts as an administrator, teacher, director, and choreographer. She currently works as Creative Programs Manager at the Dance Complex. She annually works at the National Puppetry Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center as a Production Manager. More recently, she choreographed The Boy from Oz with Arlington Friends of the Drama. Her other full-time job is as Mommy to her fabulous 4 year old executive assistant.
Anastasia Maryn Elliott is thrilled to be a part of Somerville Community Arts this summer. With 22 years of piano experience, she has music directed for Madhatter’s Theatre Company, in CT, performed as keys 2 at the Ivoryton Playhouse pit band for Hairspray, and music directed at least six productions during her four years at Connecticut College. Currently she is director of music at the Williams School.
