About Project HEAL: Project HEAL is a nonprofit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.
The founders of Project HEAL, Liana Rosenman and Kristina Saffran, met while undergoing treatment for anorexia nervosa at just 13-years-old. The two girls helped each other to reach full recovery, and decided to help others achieve it as well. In the spring of 2008, both at the age of 15, they founded Project HEAL to raise money for others suffering with eating disorders who want to recover but are unable to afford treatment. Insurance coverage for eating disorders is severely lacking, leaving many unable to get the help they need.
In 2017, Project HEAL expanded our mission to make a larger impact. In addition to providing assistance in accessing treatment, we are now strengthening early intervention and recovery support through our new peer mentorship program, Communities of HEALing.
About Hear Me Roar Artists of New England: Our group of creators aim to empower and support all women, their creativity and craft, and to promote other local female artists and business women in our communities. Hear Me Roar events are popping up in female-owned venues throughout New England. We are artists, poets, musicians, and other driven creatives standing together to create a positive and fun event welcoming anyone who loves art!
