Tickets available now!  (online until 5 pm on day of show; or at the door once doors open)

As part of his 2017 East Coast tour, guitarist Peter Ciluzzi is set to perform at The Center for Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA, on Saturday, June 17 at 8 PM. Tickets are $10 advance or $15 at the door.   Ciluzzi transports listeners on a journey through virtuosic, evocative compositions that tell a story without words.  His acclaimed solo instrumental work has accumulated millions of views on YouTube and more than 6 million plays on Spotify.

Ciluzzi is a recording artist on Candyrat Records, which represents more than thirty musicians from ten countries and features some of the finest guitar-based music from around the world.  He has previously toured the U.S. with Candyrat artist showcases.  This is his first solo East Coast tour, which will take him from New Hampshire to Georgia this spring.

With what has been described as a distinctive, timeless sound that is both familiar and unexpected, his music defies easy categorization and reflects a wide range of influences including jazz, classical, rock, bluegrass, and world music.  He was a finalist in the 2007 Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Competition and has performed with guitarists such as Antoine Dufour, Gareth Pearson, and Ewan Dobson.  Works released on Candyrat records include his debut album “Music Without Words,” and the 2016 follow-up album “Still Without Words.”

Opening the evening is Charles Berthoud.  British bassist, Charles Berthoud, is changing the way we think about the bass guitar. Already being recognized as one of the masters of the two-handed tapping technique, he plays the bass like a piano, accompanying himself with multiple parts. He co-authored an instructional book, Two-Handed Tapping, before graduating Berklee College of Music with highest honors, and has two self-released albums.

“Luthier and player, with sublime beauty and taste…Ciluzzi and his guitar sound like one.” -Minor 7th

“A truly gifted guitarist but foremost a first-class composer and musician…who is able to touch a person’s soul with so much warmth and impact.” -Bridge Guitar
