“Ble-blah ble-blah ble-blah ble-blah ble-blah.”
– every Shakespearean actor ever
Weyard Ensemble Theater reinvigorates this tired old text using a recreation of the historical dialect of 16th Century London. Actors take down posh old notions of Shakespeare and bring him back to earth in this reading of Much Ado About Nothing in the original pronunciation.
Give your Shakespeare some guts.
Directed by Daniel Thomas Blackwell
Featuring the acting talents of Anthony Amoroso, Olivia Caputo, Matt Ciommo, Isabel Dollar, Caitlyn Jones, Kevin Paquette, Marianne Phinney, Erica Jade Simpson, Sylvia Sword, and Lelaina Vogel.
The reading will be approximately 90 minutes long with no intermission with a short talkback after the performance. There will be a cash bar serving wine and beer, and guests are invited to mingle afterwards.
