Matthew Michael & Christina Marie
An acoustic duo emerging from their roots in the midwest, Matthew Michael & Christina Marie approach music with reverence to moment, regard for the past and exploration of the future. From the heartland to the coasts Matthew Michael & Christina Marie engage audiences with honest songs expressed in harmonically-rich layers of voices and strings. Both songwriters with their own perspective, Matthew Michael & Christina Marie write independently and collaboratively, complementing and contrasting each other’s creative voice. Matthew Michael & Christina Marie are currently in production of their first album.
Ruth Hill, award-winning songwriter, singer, and storyteller, crafts honest songs with powerful imagery and beautiful melodies. Inspired by her deep New England roots, large working-class family and wandering spirit that has taken her from Antarctica to Alaska, she sings from a place of depth and compassion that compels you to lean closer.
Kerrville New Folk winning songwriter and performer Amy Kucharik [/kuh-CHAR-ick/] energizes swing dance, folk festival and listening room audiences alike. Drawing from blues, folk and Vaudeville traditions and with a street-smart stagecraft honed in the subways of Boston, Amy transports her audience to a place both timeless and familiar, but nevertheless innovative. She tours and performs as a one-woman band with ukulele, foot percussion, mouth trumpet and harmonica, or with her Boston-based bands Friends With Benefits and Tiger Moan. Combining poignant, witty lyricism and an infectious, danceable swing, Amy’s music has drawn comparisons to Maria Muldaur, Lake Street Dive, and Anais Mitchell. Amy was a formal showcase artist at SWRFA in 2015, WFMT Folk DJ Rich Warren’s pick for the DJ showcase at NERFA in 2016, and was selected as a Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist for 2018. Her second full-length album of original music, “Until the Words Are Gone,” was released worldwide on June 1, 2018.
