About the Course:
This class is for teenage or adult beginners to intermediates who want to learn how to basics of voice performance. It will cover breathing technique, increasing vocal range, enriching vocal projection, and more! Learn the fundamentals in a positive and encouraging environment.
This is a 4 part course, running on 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, and 12/7. The price for the entire course is $165, and admission must be paid prior to the first class. Tickets can be purchased here.
About the Facilitator:
Austin is a performer and educator who teaches voice, piano, music theory, and guitar. He holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory as well as an undergraduate degree in Composition from LaGrange College.
Austin has developed 11 seasonally themed programs which he arranges, curates, and performs all over New England with his ensemble “Sole Durato.” Austin has also performed at various music festivals in Boston and Vermont including Caspian Music Mondays and Newbury Nights. He has performed at the Boston Public library as part of the Never Too Late Concert Series as well as a Fundraising Gala for the Museum of Fine Arts.
Outside of his ensemble work, Austin has performed in the world premiere of the opera, Demopera, by Lee Johnson, the North American Premiere of the oratorio, La Celebre Nativita by Cartellieri, and the New England premiere of the opera, Gisela in Her Bathtub, by Neil Weisensel.
