Class Description: Come explore and discover how music can inspire movement, team-building spirit, confidence, and fun! At World Music Dance and Rhythm, your child will learn how different musical patterns create fun dancing beats. We’ll begin the workshop by building shakers that resemble maracas to that everyone can play an instrument and feel the beat! We will also learn how to clap, dance, and improvise with our voice. The music will come full circle as we learn the Funga Dance, a traditional West African dance from Senegal.

About the Facilitator: Cindy Giron is a music educator, pianist, composer, and yoga instructor currently based in the Netherlands. She is studying her second masters degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague while furthering her music composition studies, contemporary piano performance, research in music, while also teaching piano lessons privately to children and adults. Her experience spans from creating sound art installations, orchestral music, and teaching summer music programs!
