Class Description: A collage may sometimes include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored, handmade papers, texts, and photos are attached to a surface. Artist’s nickname or location is the subject. Cut out images glues together or overlapped to make a special poster.

About the Instructor: From an early age, Annette R. McCarty discovered her freedom in drawing, painting, and rag doll making. In 1992, Annette graduated with a BFA from Westfield State University. That same year, she began her art education career as an Art Teacher in the Boston Public School District. Before 2004, Annette’s dedication to studying art education helped her to receive an M.A. Ed, an M. Ed, and an M.S. Ed. Annette also has three teaching certifications from the state of Massachusetts. Her certifications are Art Education K-5, Art Education 6-12, and Special Education K-5. Through her career, Annette continuously exhibited her artwork at museums and art festivals. Annette is a retired Department Chair and Professor of Art. Currently, she is the CEO of The Annette McCarty Art Studio, LLC.
