Class Description: Image a land made of candy. Lollipop trees, cotton candy bushes, and maybe a chocolate river. The landscape will be created with colored pencils. Shape, form, one point perspective and colored pencils help to create an original fantasy land composition.
About the Instructor: From an early age, Annette R. McCarty discovered her freedom in drawing, painting, and rag doll making. In 1992, Annette graduated with a BFA from Westfield State University. That same year, she began her art education career as an Art Teacher in the Boston Public School District. Before 2004, Annette’s dedication to studying art education helped her to receive an M.A. Ed, an M. Ed, and an M.S. Ed. Annette also has three teaching certifications from the state of Massachusetts. Her certifications are Art Education K-5, Art Education 6-12, and Special Education K-5. Through her career, Annette continuously exhibited her artwork at museums and art festivals. Annette is a retired Department Chair and Professor of Art. Currently, she is the CEO of The Annette McCarty Art Studio, LLC.
