Date(s) - Mon. Aug. 21, 2017
1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Class Description: The use of masks in theater goes all the way back to the 5th Century BCE. This class will teach the creation of two types of masks (half masks and full masks). With half masks, we will work on facial expressions, voice, and gesture, but with full masks we will rely mainly solely on mime. We will craft, play, be silly, and create many different characters.

About the Facilitator: Dr. Tiffany Pounds-Williams is theatrically trained (BA, MA, PhD). She specializes in children’s theater, LGBTQIA theater, and college level introduction to acting.
